New animals come in daily, it is possible that a breed you are looking for has come in and we have not got its photo up yet.

Why are some animals more than $65?
A lot of different things effect the price of an animal. Medical care and breed type are two of the main factors.

Do you offer low cost spay and neuter clinics for animals?
No. There are some great organizations in the Ozarks who do provide that service. One is SNAP, another possibility would be SAAF, whose clinic is expected to open April 2010. Another option that is available is through an organization called Half-Way Home. Their number is (417) 693-7555.

How do I become a volunteer?
Call Joy at (417) 777-DOGS. She will match up your skills with our volunteer positions.

Are there requirements to become a volunteer?
It depends on the position. We prefer that all of our volunteers be at least 16 years of age, but there are exceptions made to that rule depending upon the person and their qualifications. Some positions require a valid driver's license.
